The fellow in the picture is Gaara from Naruto...
Spotify is like a music player, only that the music you play is from a server and you stream all the music. So you can basicly listen to any music you want, just search and play... I hope that made sense... And you need an invite to get it...
eMule is hard to explain... You download stuff with it, from different servers... Hardly ever use it though...
