its all about getting stuff rather than worshiping.

thats what i belive. but i try to be religiously sensitive.

unless someone is trying to shove a bible down my throat.

then i get ticked.

:D

that doesn't mean religion doesn't fascinate me. sure i think its pointless but i like watching stuff on TV about all the blood spilled in jerusalem and shit in the name of "god".

amazing what people do for thier beliefs.

anyway.

OK!!! now that im backl from my few day pause. Let me explain in better detail.

1. What hobo origianlly came on here for is Catholic. Catholisism is similat to christianity, in the fact that they beilieve in christ and stuf. But its totally different in the fact that Catholics beleive in praying to and worshiping saints, which is false Idolism. Christ teaches that false idolism is bad, and can send you to hell. Catholics still need to be "saved". and Catholisism is NOT a subdivison of christianity. Baptism and lutheran, penticostal ect, ARE. sry hobo, had to bust you on that one

2. Atheism is only another act of rebellion against christ, who DID die on the cross for us, rose again, and now gives us the "easy" way to heaven. IN order to be a christian you have to; 1- Admit christ is your personal savior, he did die for you, and that you are a sinner, and 2- live a life follwing christs teaching, which can be found in the first four books of the new testiment of the bible. they are Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. They are otherwise known as the gosspels.

3. Christmas shouldnt be about presents, but it is here in america. Christmas is about thanking god for sending his son to die for us. It was the greatest gift mankind ever recived.

4. And finally in responce to randall5150s last comment. 1.If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14. 2. The following is a prayer given by Minister Joe Wright who was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate. Everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father . . .

We come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil -- good' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.

We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.

We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of speech and expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our Forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, And know our hearts today;

Cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of Your will, to open ask it in the name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen!"

and 3. You think life is full of surprises? Wait till you die! and Better to face the truth now, than after death and God specializes in surprise endings.

P.S. if you want to know more, just pm me. :D and im sorry if i offened anyone, im only spreading the word. Its your choice to beleive, we have free will.

I'm the worst christian ever :) ... I did neither of these:

1- Admit christ is your personal savior, he did die for you, and that you are a sinner, and
2- live a life follwing christs teaching, which can be found in the first four books of the new testiment of the bible. they are Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. They are otherwise known as the gosspels.

And my dad is a teacher who teaches this sort of crap...
There is only one god for me, that's ASDF...

wow, Cap'n Krello, thanks for clearing that up for the ppl who are terribly misguided..

I would add that you can be religious in thousands of ways.. I personally am a christian, but not 100%.. I like the Bible, but most 'stories' in it are about stating an example of how ppl should live, and showing the wonderful power of God.. you don't have to actually believe there was a man who turned water into wine, but you must see the beauty of nature and people and everything with your inner self

for me, religion is mostly about going through things in a manner that you feel, not just see. To live with your soul. Thus, you'll necessarily feel a higher power that you cannot comprehend, and you shouldn't even try to.. that is where ppl fail, the ppl who judge religion as it is "unexplainable".

okay i know this is messy and i cant fully explain my thoughts on this, sorry for the long post :)
