Hmm. I, too, wish I could be without a cell phone. But sadly I have moved 7 times in the last 5 years, so it is the only thing consistent about me at the moment. And as for Facebook, while not an avid user, it does help to reconnect with people I knew "once when." So I suppose for you kids it would not make as much sense to have one.
