Yes. Neither of the two are very athletic, despite the fact that Phoenix has broken down many doors and Layton is Maguiver in disguise.

Phoenix Wright is a lawyer that ends up doing detective work anyway and has a spirit medium for a partner. Hershel Layton is a puzzle solving detective.

Re: Favourinte Nintendo Character
EPIC.FAIL.
Hershel Layton is actually an archaeological professor with a student with a crrush on him, who has a young boy named Luke travelling with him, caliming to be "Layton's Apprentice", and they have a rather. Woops... SPOILER ALERT! There, now I can say it. Hershel and Luke have an emotional farewell at the end of the third game. Hershel just happens to be good at solving puzzles and mysteries, but it doesn't make him a detective.

In the first game, Luke origionally refered to Layton as "The famous puzzle-solving detective Hershel Layton", at which point Layton corrected him. I forgot that part.

Interesting and uninteresting at the same time, that's kind of weird.

Things are bound to go off topic, and I believe you are right with the spelling of his name.
Re: Favourinte Nintendo Character
Hmm. Nintendo don't really have characters, they're more like mascots. None of them really have any personality, and Link, for example, isn't even the same person in most games. I've finally decided on Silver/??? from pokemon Gold, even though it's second party, because i've never hated a gamecharacter as much as i did when I first played the game, then been so confused when he turned out to be not such a bad guy in the end.
My favourite non-nintendo character would have to be Reaver from Fable II. If you have played it, you'll know why.

Yup, Reaver is awesome, and some of the LoZ games confuse me, as he keeps changing ages and keeps changing stories, and sometimes he's apparantly saved Zelda before, and other times he just starts all over and had never apparantly saved her before and it's a little confusing.keja wrote:Hmm. I liked Bungie's Marathon, it's an epic game with epic story and epic characters (specially Durandal)

Re: Favourinte Nintendo Character
There are some games where Link is the same guy, if not they are somehow related. E.g. Twilight Princess, the player receives the Tunic of the Hero of Time, and looks like him, just in high quality. Also, all the holders of the Triforce of Courage are named Link, all the holders of the Triforce of Wisdom are named Zelda, and Ganondor fneeds to learn how to die so there can be a new holder of the Triforce of Power.

Which others? Zelda, Ganondorf? Phoenix Wright or Layton?
