the general thread
Re: the general thread
Google Chrome is just another web-browser, just like Safari or Firefox, or IE for that matter, and it's free... Though I do believe your mother will notice if you suddenly install Chrome on the computer

Can you install Chrome on an iPod? If so, that would work because my web history wouldn't show up on the computer. It doesn't really matter if I use the free WiFi. Ours is locked and I know the password but my mom unplugs the Internet connection before we all go to bed so she knows I'm not online. Smart, but I guess she doesn't know about linksysnetwork.

Re: the general thread
actually, they are many differences in all of the browsers. they all use different engine layouts (except safari and google chrome), which makes the rendering speed different. they all have different security options, and most of them have different acid3 test. if you think web browsers are all the same, i pity you... and have a nice day getting a virus from internet explorer's failed security.Shai'tan wrote:Google Chrome is just another web-browser, just like Safari or Firefox, or IE for that matter, and it's free... Umm... I am fully aware of the fact that web-browsers are very different, but that I considered that irrelevant...

They all have an address bar at the top and the ability to bookmark web pages, which is all she needs.
But Have you considered installing the annonymous web browser application on your ipod? it can be easily installed and deleted from the device if you're worried about being caught.

What kind of "stuff" are you talking about?dewero wrote:idk, my dad can do that stuff.
And kum, I think you should get Firefox, if you don't have it already. It has Private Browsing which is the same that Chrome has and instead of the horrible wheel icon it has a cute little fox on fire.
Re: the general thread
"stuff" refers to how he can view all internet activity on our internet from the computer. i still don't know how he does it
