well, I have my gmail automatically sort it into it's own folder so I don't have to deal with them in my inbox. I just select them when I get on and tell it to mark them all as read.

Sasha is asking for a list of people that can recive messages like that and a list of people that don't want to and for an option so that you can put yourself on and off those lists.

Yep. So basically, instead of banning people from sending PMs to multiple recepients, block the PM with the title "Re: I messed up." from reaching the PMbox. Then the people who want to get those messages can remove that block.

we can't do that globally.. the only way for someone not to get a PM sent to everyone is to personally set a rule in their inbox, to delete messages with a specific title. (although the emails are still sent.. which is no problem for gmail users but for the rest..)

My opinion: IF i knew exactly how many people were annoyed by all the PMs, and if i could explain them to set this rule in their inbox, there is a chance that we could re-enable the feature.. but it's still weird that you like all those emails and you don't want to visit the forum, just your inbox..

I'm sure that if I had the source code to ucp.php, it would not be to difficult to create a script that sets it for all users, whether via a MySQL query, or a JavaScript, or an autoclicker, depending on the source code. Could I give it a try?

Also, the reason I like to get an e-mail about each post is that I get to see what the message is without going through the annoying procedure of having to sign in.

methinks you posted that too late. I was about to edit my post in the philtom thread to rejoice that I am in the next rank, when I realized that going up a rank still does not give me an ability to send PMs to multiple users, so I dropped that idea.

nope.. even we don't have access to the server files, only Philtom does.

ok, i don't disrespect your choices, but come on, signing in? it's 2010, browsers are intelligent.
Edit: its not just the browsers but phpBB forums, cause they have a nifty Log me on automatically each visit checkbox.
