My ancestors are directly descened from Ireland and Scottland
My Mother's side comes from Ireland, My Father's from Scottland, both families went to brittan then to america, lastly my parents met in NC and now I'm a Iro-Scott

It's spelled Scotland, it is not the land that belongs to Scott. Scotland is a part of Britain, which is not spelled brittan and begins with a capital letter.
If neither of your parents were born in America you could probably call yourself something else, but from what I've read your mother seems like she was raised in the deep south.
