Sometimes we just have to translate some walls of text and while most people spend time searching in the dictionary I just have to write it in portuguese, and I get plenty of spare time to do whatever I want

I wish I knew another language... well ok that's not fair I do know a small amount of German, French, Italian, Chinese, and just enough English to get by.

I have a friend from Beijing. His family recently moved away and another friend of mine moved in with them, they sometimes have a short conversation in Chinese (w/e dialect) and Jason (Hu Xiao Dohng {spelling on 'last' name not sure}) corrects him a lot. I can't say much and really the only things I can say are offensive lol.

The Chinese army is evil. Also, they dress in rainbow colours.

I've always wondered, is it hear hear, or here here? Neither make much sense in the context in which they are used...

I think it's hear hear, and Idk why... Maybe it's like I hear you and agree? I'll look it up.

Hear, hear is an expression used as a short repeated form of hear ye and hear him. It represents a listener's agreement with the point being made by a speaker.

It was originally an imperative for directing attention to speakers, and has since been used, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, as "the regular form of cheering in the House of Commons", with many purposes depending on the intonation of its user.[1] It is often incorrectly spelled "here here", especially on websites[2] and IM.[3]

The phrase hear him, hear him! was used in Parliament since the late 1600s, and had been reduced to hear! or hear, hear! by the late 1700s. The verb hear had earlier been used in the King James Bible as a command for others to listen.[1]

Other phrases have been derived from hear, hear, such as a hear, hear (a cheer), to hear-hear (to shout the expression), and hear-hearer (a person who does the same)
