When you have partitions to Z, the system won't recognize when you put in a memory stick... It happens at our school...

It does for me... I think... If you count my iPod as a memory stick...

do you mean all drives from A ~ Z or just having a Z drive?

Well, I just have a Z drive...

I have C, D (DVD thinger), Z, and E (CD image mounting thinger)

i have C, D, E as hard drives, F (dvd drive), G (dvd burner), and H (virtual drive)

(though i used to set the virtual drive(s) to X or something to make it easily distinguishable (what a word).)

I have:

C and Z Disk

D and E DVD Drives

F, G, H and I "Movable Drives" (I don't really know what this is, but I think it's USB...)

J and K Virtiual Drives

I have holes in my computer that I put stuff in.

C, D: Local station (hard disk)
E: RECOVER
F: Compact Flash
G: Memory Stick
H: Multimedia
I: SmartMedia
J, K, M: DVD-station
L: DVD-RW-station
N: CD-ROM station
O: Removable disk

I have no idea what a virtual drive is...

That yes...

It's what most people use when they pirate games...

I use a keygen or crack orso...

but you need one to mount CD images...

You just make a new partition on your hard drive and put the game in there... And then the game just works?!...

it's not a partition...I mean like Daemon tools where you make a virtual CD drive and you put the CD image on that drive so it pretends that there is a CD in the drive

Weird... Why not just run the .exe file?!...

Some game CDs only run when booted from the CD. But to boot from a CD you need a CD, or a CD mounting tool like Daemon or PowerISO, they transform ISO files (witch burn all files in a CD) into a virtual drive, that the game thinks it is a CD... Then after you install it you apply the crack to stop needing the CD, then you can Unmount the image (becaause it is normally pretty heavy)...

Waw sounds complicated, I'll definitely keep that in mind on the end of september...
I've never had to do this tough...
And this requires one virtual drive each game?!...

if it's a game that requires you to have the CD in the drive...

Does Half life 2, portal, dirt or crysis need those?!...

I don't know... But then again, if you have a crack, it could run without the CD... Or if you don't have a crack and will play it constantly, you could pretty much just burn it to a CD/DVD...
