I'll go buy the book. I have seen it before but didn't care to pick it up.

Re: Discussion thread [Serious]
new year's eve?
do you care? (besides that from tomorrow on, you'll have to remember the fact that it's 2010?)
or what does it mean to you?

Re: Discussion thread [Serious]
Very good question Atom...
I really don't care about new year... It's where you take your reference point... It has no meaning at all...
However it's when people come together and celebrate...
I like to party, so I will celebrate... But it will be like any other party to me though... Well with fireworks then...

Re: Discussion thread [Serious]
Okay, new topic, music. Let us post the song which we think are the best in their genre. (you don't have to use the same genres as me, just the ones you listen to)
Rock- I have decided not to pick a song by one of my favourite bands, because in my eyes (and ears, I suppose) none them come close to a song I have heard only a handful of times. AC/DC's Back in Black is an awe-inspiring song. Even as an instrumental, it sounds amazing. The lyrics really make the song what it is though. As a dedication, you couldn't possibly ask for more. It's also a strong, proud announcement to their retun to music, that they wouldn't give up. Not just for the original members though, but for Bon Scott's replacement, a past glam rock singer who thought his time as a musician had ended. I suppose if you didn't know this you'd disagree, and probably still would now as a post on a forum is never as persuasive as a real voice.
Rap- there is only one song that I could possibly choose. To me, Stan has the best lyrics for a song ever. I cannot do it justice with any words of the English language. I doubt that there is anyone here aside from CX who hasn't heard it but if you haven't, you must. It's by Eminem. This song is so influential, it made Dido famous, if you don't understand how that makes a song so great, listen to her music. It is not good.
Acoustic- I suppose this is the right place to put it, I always have difficulty placing Bob Dylan's music in genres. The song With God on Our Side has a cynical message that is put satirically, but beautifully, with just a hint of sarcasm during one verse. I'm sure Shai'tan in particular would appriciate the message of the song, but anyone who is relatively unreligious can enjoy the song.
That's all I can decide on at the moment, but I'm not finished.
