Basically, you put something in your ear, and you hear every langauge as your native one. It would certainly solve a lot of problems.

English is one of the poorest languages of all, as far as I know. Well i don't wanna dive into this too deep, but i sure wouldn't want you to read in English what i'd be writing in Hungarian. Translation requires a lot of interpretation that can't/shouldn't be done by machines..

as for Lunar's questions:

1 - my perfect place would be my home country, only if it was richer, and managed a lot better.. plus there would be no racial conflicts, and people wouldn't feed on poop from the TV so their ideological battles wouldn't be so stupid. Bla bla bla. More personally, i'd like to live in an "active house" (one that doesn't drain energy but produces it), with a big garden.

2 - I don't much care about afterlife as i don't think there will be one.

Obviously the babel fish thing wouldn't give a literal translation, because it's from my ideal world and I want to understand people. I kind of agree with you on the afterlife though, I can't see why there would be one.

Norway has the best life rating... I don't know the name in english... The thing from 0 to 1, Norway got a 0,971 I think...

Indeed, in some parts of Norway (northern parts) the sun doesn't go down at all during the summer
