The actual reason the end of the world thing came along was because 2012 is when the calender stops. And some 1990 nerd started a roumor that thats when the world will end. Thats what I belive. I really dont think anything will happen. Can someone start a new discussion? this ones getting old fast...

Some people say it'll be religious holocaust, some say the sun will explode, some say that it'll be a solar flare. It all seems to be based on the Mayan (something) calendar ending on the year 2012 on the 23rd of december... but I've never heard if the leap year was accounted for, if the calendar is different, or if they even predicted anything and maybe just all died off before continuing.

2012 will be a year in the sun's 4-year cycle of increased activity... I think...

Say I have one question since we have no subject apparently.
I told my friend I could teach him how to play sax, because he wanted to play an instrument... he asked me thus.
"What kind of girls can I pick up with that?"
And he was asking me seriously... Is picking up the other sex so important that it becomes a factor in music?! I was rather angry. What's your opinion on this?

It's been like that for quite a few years, unfortunately. Even some famous musicians were mostly in it for the intercourse.

You agree with fornication being a prime factor for being a musician?

And Brittany Spears offends me. She does music only to make money, as a job. Music isn't a job, and it's fine to want to get paid for it, but that shouldn't be why you do it completely. As a musician who's been playing a very self immersed and expressive style, it's just terrible that her 'music' is seen as here being paid to be an 'entertainer' if that's the case, she should juggle...

I have no problem with "musicians" in it only for the money, but my problem is they try to come off as "musicians" who do what they do because they like it, and not for the money. anyway, these "musicians" make crappy "music" and the just basically suck in my opinion.
