That's a false idol, and is against one of the 10 commandments. I believe the punishment is genocide.

Re: Discussion thread [Serious]
I won't say these aren't serious idols as in in real life you actually idolize them a little, but this may be a good discussion point, who is your idol? Who do you look up to a lot?
For my self it's always been my father. He used to drink all the time, he used to smoke a lot, and he's been divorced twice, but every time he was faced with a problem like that he always pulled through, he hasn't been drunk in at least 10 years, he's quitting smoking, after that we're going to go to the gym weekly, he's always been able to move on and succeed and now he lives in a nice home, and his lady now is very nice and they are happy. They aren't married but they sure feel it to me, though I don't consider her my mom in any way lol. He's just always been a really good person even drunk to people, and he is so smart, and I always ask him for advice, I hope to be able to aspire to be as good as him some day.

your dad sounds like a really cool and persistent guy, though I have never admired anyone in my family... I'd have to say my idol is keja

Re: Discussion thread [Serious]
Yeh, I don't really overly idolize anyone. My immediate family aren't much of an inspiration. My dad's a pretty cool guy sometimes, but I've been seeing a psychologist for awhile, and he said there was things that my parents needed to do to help me sort out my problems; ways they needed to change. Dad did try somewhat, and he's been a good help, but my mum never bothered, because she's a perfectionist, and believes that she's doing everything right in the first place.
If I had to say anyone, I'd say my Uncle Matt, he's gone through same stuff as I do, and he's probably who I draw inspiration from the most.

In my family, the people I look up to most are my parents. I was raised WAY differently than the average American, and I am eternally grateful for it. My father is with me more of the time because I'm homeschooled and my mother has to leave the house for her job, so we spend most of the day together. He likes the same stuff I like, namely, magnets, robots, and computers. We both code, so we can talk about stuff like that. We also talk about a lot of phylosiphocal (I spelled that wrong, didn't I?) and scientific stuff when we're riding in the car or something. So my dad's pretty awesome. I once spammed my sister with several thousand emails, and she ratted me out. He didn't ground me or anything, he said, "How'd you do it?" So yeah, he's awesome.

Technically, he works for a company called Stanley. However, they sent him to work for the Marine Corps. So he's basically the top webmaster because nobody there has any idea how to do what he's doing. So he gets paid about $60 an hour on average.
