I believe the Fibonacci sequence was used to model the growth of rabbit population. although it doesn't take into account of the lifespan of the rabbits so they live forever, but with some modifications to the sequence, you could model it a little better.
oh, i forgot, he was a mathematician, and mathematicians don't know shit about reality. Which is obvious: rabbits must die after participating in their first easter and giving birth to their maximum number of decorated eggs.
that sounds like an awfully mean prank. can you imagine? a mother who just wanted to prepare a healthy breakfast for her children and domestic partner, cracks open and egg to find chocolate. sensing that there is chocolate, the children will instinctively knock over everything in the way and consume the said chocolate, putting them in a state of hyperactivity and perhaps semi-insanity. the mother, unable to control the situation, will surely be reprimanded by her domestic partner, perhaps also being locked in the cellar for two weeks as punishment. covering eggs with chocolate is a much better prank.
There are eggs in chocolate cake. So chocolate cake is a part of a balanced breakfast, right? That's what that old black comedian always talks about. And Jell-O pudding.
