I don't think Minchin is saying myths and monsters are all bad - just that the people who put all of their stock in myths and monsters are missing what's right in front of their face.
To me it's always been game theory and opportunity cost. Is there a heaven? Is there not? Do I live a religious life now, sacrificing what I could experience, so that in the next life I have something better? What if this is it and there is no next life? What do I give up now in lieu of potentially receiving later? Or do I just live life to its fullest, and gamble that my actions now have no consequences after I die?
I'm telling you, economists have this shit figured out.
but I need to sell it on the street not the drink the drug I mean...they made me do it with inception?

is not the name Santa derived from the Spanish word for Saint? in that case it would be fun.

It comes from the Dutch legendary figure Sinterklaas, who is essentially the same thing but brings presents on a different, slightly earlier holiday. Sant clause's image is partially based on this figure and on the slightly different Father Christmas.
