Actually, I'm sure I saw a rooster crowing in the cartoon sreies, and I also saw them eating roast chicken (or maybe turkey).

recently discovering this topic, i would like to say something ontopic. regardless whether shai knows it or not, its Blaziken! from torchic to combusken to blaziken, it is truly worth saying, "they grow up so fast!" tiny torchic to HUGE blaziken! they really do grow up fast
