Fine.
Anyways, does anyone play quakeLive? If so, how do you keep from having constant connection errors while playing? My Internet connection is steady, yet it lags beyond compare.

Does that game uses pre-definded servers, or does it use a host-system?!...
If you're sure you internet is steady, it might be just the host/server,
in which case you should try to look for another one...
Do you know what networking card you have?!...

I have a terrible USB Netgear adapter, which you may be right about, it could be the problem.
Oh and it's actually plug-in browser based. But I asked, and noone else has a problem.
It's a first person shooter mmo, so as you can imagine, me having lag and everyone else having a good connection causes serious problems for me.

That's not extremely much... It's about normal I think...
With FPS games, lag is the worst...
Do you use LAN?!...

Are you sure it's the internet that lags? It could be your computer, depending on how good it is and how much the game takes (I have no idea). If you're uncertain you should check...
And 87 isn't bad ping, it's pretty good actually, you should be able to play normally with that ping. The question is just where the server is located, but it should be fine considering others play normally...

In some online games, you can see the ping of everyone in the server while playing...
And if you have a low framerate (fps), then it's your computer, as Shai said...

also, are you the server?

bcasue if you're the one starting the game and others connect to you, then your machine can have significantly more burden..

No lol while all of these are good suggestions, none of em fit.
I usually join the games, and my compy is top notch. also, my framerate is really good. and it actually says Connection Error every time it lags. It's insane.
But! I found a new game thats way better and not nearly as laggy.

Was it the game then?!...
Dust off your network cable...
EDIT: I have a problem...
Firefox doesn't work anymore... I log in and when the link brings me back to the index, I'm logged out once more...

I've shut down AVG and re-installed firefox, but still doesn't work... Ideas?!...

uh.. when you log in, did you set it so that firefox remembers your password?
check the settings, there is a tab called "privacy" (i think, mine is hungarian), where there are some settings related to storing cookies, you should enable the receiving and storing of cookies.
(on a bit unrelated note, i just found out that you can set firefox so that you can use the address bar without lagging/automatically searching among bookmarks and history. It's also on the privacy tab, well assuming you have the latest version.)

I had that problem once, but when I reinstalled firefox, it stopped.

FF remembers my pass automatically, yes, cookies are enabled, no exceptions...

I think you may have to wait for an update for firefox, at least, I think that's what I did.
