Well, I've been on multiple forums where you "request" a name change and a moderator would change your username for you.

I can change your username. There isn't a written policy about it, however i won't change your username daily.. let's say if you really decided you want to change it, PM me and I'll do it.

But if you changed your username, the words on the forum wouldn't change. So if you changed your name to 'InfernoBob', then all the forums that said, 'Hi there, InfernoJoe' wouldn't make sense.

they would, to the people who know about the name change. But yeah, confusing all the people isn't necessarily a good idea..

Not sure if that's how it works here, but another forum I'm on, it requires taking the whole forum down temporarily to make name changes, so they do it once a month, and you're not allowed to change again for a year.

We started a petition at school today to take to state legislature about the ban on gay marriage, but our school took it from us. Any ideas on what to do? We got almost 500 signatures...

Seriously? Call a 1st Amendment on their asses. You have the right to politically assemble. What was their reason for taking it?

So, they took it and didn't give you a reason? That's bullshit. Call them out on it.

It's okay, tomorrow we're out of school and we can easily get twice as many signatures in a few hours. I talked to some GSA people and we're going to take a van out to some places around us and get signatures.
