Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
I've got a debate for y'all. It technically counts as help.
So if someone's user name asdfkumquat, and you were starting their name in a sentence, would you capitalize it?
I personally think that it looks neater capitalized, but it would make more sense non-capitalized.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
I tend to capitalize names either way, it looks better... Though sometimes I don't... But I definitely would at the start of a sentence

Yes, but say there was an Asdfkumquat. You would have to differentiate between the two.

I think, people who don't use a capital letter in their name should be forced to eat cow hair. In fact, there should be a "No non-capital letter or number or all capital letters in name" usergroup.asdfkumquat wrote:I try to use names how they are written. Or use nicknames.
Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
That's worse than being biased against a certain ethnic group, gender or religion... I don't even like cow hair. Call people what they want to be called.

It's a disgrace against their language. If you want to use a language, use it well.asdfkumquat wrote:That's worse than being biased against a certain ethnic group, gender or religion... I don't even like cow hair. Call people what they want to be called.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Okay, now I have a real problem.
I am planning on moving next summer with my boyfriend after I graduate. My friends tell me, "Don't move, you'll just break up and he'll kick you out, and you'll be left in a box on the street." They don't listen to my reasons for leaving, they only see the extreme consequence. My reasons for leaving are,
1. My mom cannot afford insurance for all of us much longer, and if I try to get my driver's license, the insurance will only get higher.
2. Incase no one here knows, in Michigan, there are no jobs available for youth like me, or for anyone for that matter.
3. No job = can't move out, can't go to college, can't get my license, can't get a car.
4. My house is packed with people all the time. No one picks up after themselves, and it drives me insane.
5. On a personal note, if he and I break up, I know for a fact he would not throw me out on the streets. No one is that inconsiderate. He'd let me stay there until I either a.) had the money to move back home, or b.) until we could work something out.
6. Bottom line, I cannot grow up here. I'll be stuck in my house just like the rest of my older siblings.
So what I ask is, what is your opinion?

I say, your reasons look pretty reasonable. Do your trust your boyfriend more, or your friends?
Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
I don't see any reason why not to move out. You have very good arguments. It'd be the best option. Just try not to bend under peer pressure - trust those who are true to you. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks, guys. I trust that my boyfriend won't kick me to the curb if something bad were to happen, and i also trust that my friends have my safety in mind. I do want to go with what I want, but I guess I just need some more opinions.

You can always gets a new boyfriend too.
Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Why would she need a new boyfriend if she is considering moving in with him? I'm sure he's a sensible guy.

I heard he's a murderer on the loose. If you really want my advice, get some boyfriend from Dublin and move there. It's only the 14th most expensive country in Europe.asdfkumquat wrote:Why would she need a new boyfriend if she is considering moving in with him? I'm sure he's a sensible guy.

It's all about leverage:
<You, your BF & asdf'ers> vs. <Your friends, your family> vs. <everybody else who doesn't care>
<go> vs. <stay> vs. <I don't give a funk>
It's your decision...

If you trust him, go ahead and move in with him.. though it depends on how long are you two together, i'm personally quite slow in these things, and i don't think anyone should rush it, but it's your choice.
I don't know anything about the jobs in Michigan, i don't understand why is insurance (huh?) or getting a car is an issue here..
i think you should go to college and move in with your boyfriend

Yeah, I'm sure he's a cool guy... Don't ever eat from his plate (ever) though... That will get you kicked out for sure.
