Friendly reminders never accomplish anything. If you want to tell someone to stop hotlinking in an effective manner, you need to burst in through their window and punch their children/mothers/pets in the forehead. After you've terrified them, shout your message in an overly-violent manner (ex. People who hotlink find themselves in garbage bags in my trunk) and then dropkick them down some stairs.

They'll never hotlink again.

On the subject of sporks, I once had a friend who absolutely insisted that they were called "foons". Rather than agreeing and changing the subject because she looked hella good, I, as usual, insisted that I am never wrong (which is true) and argued for hours on end that they are sporks in the eyes of the majority of most typical Americans.

In the end, I realized that her mental capabilities were too far below mine and that she would never pledge herself to sporks. Although she deserved no less than a public stoning, I decided to let her off easily by banning her from basking in my glorious presence and never calling her again.

NOTE: I was running low on creativity, so I decided to tell a true story. I could perpetually be irrelevant, although I'd be entirely unable to ever have a conversation with anyone. In turn, I have to be relevant sometimes.
