Here's a suggestion for your banana death camp:

Slowly peel the banana (maybe an inch or so a week) so that they slowly turn brown and make it painful for them to exist in general, all while reminding all the other bananas how pointless life is for them in the camp

that is really dark

Dark bananas can be good for banana bread (as long as they aren't too dark).

Mine are so dark they are mushrooms
