you can do whatever you want man as long as you're ready to deal with the consequences and even when you aren't I guess, but just be warned that there are consequences to actions and freedom of doing stuff doesn't mean freedom from dealing with responsibilities and things like that

I stepped on one of my daughter's toys yesterday. It's one of her favorites, too, when she sees it. It's one of those little chicks that hops along on the floor when you wind it up. It's broken now. :(

She had left it on the play room floor, right where we walk to and from her bedroom, and it was dark. I didn't see it. I mentioned natural consequences to my wife, and she said that our bundle of joy isn't old enough to really understand natural consequences. I said that, unfortunately, that a lack of understanding doesn't stop the consequences from happening.

Fortunately, as long as she doesn't see it, she should keep playing just fine with her other toys.

could you perhaps purchase a replacement and sneakily have it hop along the floor into the room so she sees it and not you?

Lunar is going to be one of those dads who accidentally kills his kid's pet turtle while the kid is away at camp, and then rush to the pet store to find a replacement before the kid gets back home.

This article will explain: http://dinosaurdracula.com/blog/my-blue-heaven-turtles/

would they be taller due to the lower gravity, or shorter due to nutrients being more scarce, or dead due to the lack of oxygen?

It's a seasonal toy. I'll have to wait until around Easter next year. I'm actually surprised that it lasted as long as it did.

Did you try shopping on the InterWeb? Often now is every season on the InterWeb.

Case in point: I send assmom a mother's day card every year in August. (Long story as to why.) Two years ago I forgot to buy one in may, but in August went online and found one. Mother's day cards year-round.

I suppose I could, but it seems unnecessary at this point. She has new toys to love, and I can get one cheaper during the season.

So it seems you can put a price on the love for a child. Good to know. Thanks!

If she even noticed it was gone, I'd consider getting a replacement sooner. I'm not a monster, just practical.
