I never knew thoughts could be so powerful. The feelings I get just from having her on my mind always take me by surprise.
I never would've known that picturing someone's smile could bring such an overwhelming sense of weightlessness.
And to replay our kiss over and over, to feel it over and over again, it's unreal.

The human mind is a wonder. A mysterious mystical marvel.
We have the ability to re-live so many great moments of our lives, to experience our grandest joys for the ten hundredth time,
and yet this candid convenience comes at a price.
Despite our best efforts, we can't shake off our worst memories.
The days and weeks we wish we could forget stay with us for far too long.
So, just as we get to re-live our past happiness, we are forced to re-endure our past pains time and time again.

Here I am, fully realizing the power of memories, and it doesn't help me a bit.
Knowing what im up against will not help me overcome it.
Because when i think about the fact that shes taken, that i can't have her, and that someone else can, my heart does a double-take.
Gravity still becomes stronger, it's still harder to stand, and its still harder to breathe.
I just wish i could be happy, I just wish she could be happy with me, I just wish she could be happy without him.

hey... that really was beautiful. you have talent.. have you tried showing that to devyn? i don't mean to make it obvious that its about her, but just let her see it (accidently maybe ^-^) and let her do the work of putting two n two together,... i think it could help

actually i really DID accidentily have her read it. i didnt want her to. i posted it as a bulletin, and she hardly EVER gets on myspace so i figured she wouldnt see it. but uhh........... she got on. haha. i was like, uhh.. you werent supposed to see that.

she asked me why i didnt want her to read it. i said that it was something that i wanted to tell everyone in the world but for some reason it was embarassing for her to read it. she said shes sorry but shes glad she read it.
