Speaking of fish, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Babelfish relates to my industry (in that we need to convince people sometimes that Babelfish and the like are nowhere near as good as professional translation).

I've determined that a baby's role in life is to take in inputs and create outputs. Sometimes those outputs come from the butt, but other times those outputs come from the mouth. Inputs and outputs. Babies are merely little factories.
