I think I saw those videos posted on reddit. It's quite a culture shock by North American standards (and I'm going to guess also in a lot of other places as well) that these were for kids. I think it's understandable why they would be age restricted on youtube. I don't know if it shouldn't be, but it's not surprising it is.
Breaking news: Shocking revelation shows humans are in fact mammals.

yeah I know this sounds dumb, but it will be a PR nightmare to deal with the people who would want it to be age restricted.

I could, but I don't think I should for my own sanity.

Somewhat related:
Inkay is one of the Pokemon in the latest generation. It evolves into Malamar when it levels up at level 30 or greater, if you're holding your 3DS upside down while it levels.

I wonder who figured that out, actually

I don't know. Pokemon could have released the information in an official guide, and then it might have spread from there.

Oh that is true. I forgot they put those out. I'd put out a game like that and let everyone figure it out themselves

Well I remember back before I used the internet, getting stuck in certain parts of Pokemon, or not knowing how certain ones evolve. Hearing rumors and in-game hints. Getting stuck in other puzzle games and taking an hour to figure them out. That was really fun for me

Fun and frustrating.

Then I got a Game Shark for the express purpose of doing cool stuff in Pokemon Red. And I looked up codes for how to get all the Pokemon. Those were the days.

Current games have all but lost the challenge. They're giving out a level 100 legendary each month this year (to celebrate the 20th anniversary), and you can directly train certain attributes via mini games.

I still enjoy the creativity, and I impose certain challenges on myself.

If you still like the challenge, they recently released the original Red, Blue, and Yellow on the 3DS virtual console.
