he was a super hard first boss in pokemon yellow. immune to your main pokemon, and having to work hard to get butterfree.
Yes, I do believe that Brock is the hardest boss in yellow. Pikachu can't do crap to 'im, so you have to use something else, and raising a Caterpie to level 10 is really hard when all you have is the noob bug jungle. It's the hardest in the other Kanto games too, as you could pick a started that is good against Brock, but it will make it harder in the bug forest, or pick a Pokemon good in the bug forest, but bad against brock. Also, Butterfree is a fucking awesome Pokemon, don't diss it.

I used in Yellow all the way through. It looks cool, and a psychic butterfly is just awesome. :D
Also Confusion is one of the most useful moves at a really low level.

Its shiny form is pretty bad though, considering that they showed a pink butterfree in the show that was mentioned by an NPC in the games... :(

OMG! Guys! Pokemon it's a childish obsolete think that it's so used and reinvented that Michael Jackson seems natural and normal in comparison...

Pokemon might have been good a long time ago, but after Pokemon Gold & Silver it just got really crappy.

Yeah, it just got too complicated to be fun. Notice how some of the funnest games are the simple ones.

I'm not sure, but I thought there were Poke Balls and a Master Ball only at first. Maybe even some Super Balls. But from what I've heard, there's more than enough in the new ones. And yes, that makes it more complicated. Also the choice of Pokemon types, attacks, special stuff etc. makes it more complicated.

It's a children's game. the extra kinds of pokeballs only make it easier, and no new types have been added since gold and silver.

Really? How many Pokemon are there?

I know 150 original, I think +100 from Gold and Silver, so only 250?
