Star Wars in this case is a proper noun (hence the capitalization) and not plural, so "Star Wars is cake" is grammatically correct.

If you're talking about a movie title then it is in fact "Star Wars is cake".

But if you're talking about stars in war or something it'd be "Star Wars are cake". But we know that's wrong anyway because if there were cakes the size of stars there wouldn't be cakes the size of stars.
