Download the free trial, it's fully functional and worth for 30 days on CS5. Also try your hand at Illustrator while you're in the site. I'm nearly sure there are Mac versions.

Well, you can start from letters too. It's pretty neat because with enough patience you can draw anything exactly the way it is on your mind!

Yeah! With the pen tool you start from scratch and can adjust it milimetrically.
