What's your point? Life can't be helped.

It's being realistic. You can't stop the course of life, and the stream of destiny. You have to let time take it's course. I can't change the future.

Seriously? That's like saying God protects you always if you don't sin or get in the way. There is no flow. You are an individual, with power. Everyone has power. That's how they get jobs and learn and prosper. It's not luck. There's no such thing (unless you're talking about mathematics and randomness).
You just have to take this power and use it. We all know you can. Take this life, make it yours. Don't let the pressure of others shape the course of your life. That's the only thing that makes it seem not worth living. When all hope seems lost, have a sammich and keep on trying.

Sure. You all do your learning, and your jobs. It does nothing in the long run. Nothing is of any significance to life, and time will still go on once the human race is purged from this world. Space does not require such lowly beings as us to live in it. The human race is like a speck of dust on a skycraper. It's small, lowly, and insignificant, and has no chance of making a change.

But, if you go in closer, you will notice how incredibly selfish and arrogant the human race is. The aboriginals, they were true humans. They lived with the land and the animals, and they did not consider themselves superior to anything in anyway. However, nowadays, we take over anything we want. One of us dies, it's a huge issue. A dog dies, no one cares. They treat other animals like dirt, and just do what they want. The human race is destroying the earth for god's sake. Humans call themselves smarter than all other animals, just because they can build things, but other animals are a lot smarter in ways we can't comprehend. Sharks can sense electrical signals that radiate off fish. Dogs have significatly better senses than us. They can tell what your feeling, and dogs often know whenever their owners have left their work and are coming home. Ants are able to build huge underground tunnels and networks, that we wouldn't be able to replicate.

Species conflict happened in nature.
I'm not saying you have to change everything though. Just your own life.
"Protect! Embrace! Engulf! Remember! The summer! In Abaddon!"
Try not to think about 'the long run'; you should only worry about your own generation, because you won't be around to change things later anyway. That doesn't matter. It's not being self centered, it's trying to make the most out of your own life.

What's the point? A person like me has no chance to do anything good. I'm only human.

Humans maybe be creatures that focus on the self but not everyone's like that. Also, while nothing is seen to be done in the long run, it depends on how you look at it. And lastly, life makes no sense and has no defined meaning, but it's made for everyone to make their own sense of it and to create a meaning of their life. Long story short: Quit looking and start doing. It's all up to you. It might not be for anything but you're alive anyway. Just make the most of it. Make yourself happy while caring and being careful of those around you, including animals, plants and all other organisms out there. And remember: Don't worry. Be happy.

No. In order to obtain this "happiness" you speak of, it would entail bringing some sort of despair on another sort of living organism, to keep things balanced. So why bother? If I don't be happy, then another can.

"a person like you"?
Come on now, everyone has potential :|
What's the thing that's holding you back? Is it the pressure of seeing all the bad things happen in the world around you? Or is it fear of the real experiences you'll have with these things?
If anything, seeing negative events should set you on a course to trying to stop em, if they affect you that much. But i suppose with your condition you aren't sure...?
