I'm getting braces in a few weeks and I'm asking around about pain. A friend down the street said it hurts to the point of crying. I'm scared.

It does not hurt at all. Atleast it does not for me. I guess it depends on how much a person can handle and the different methods the dentists use.

Thank you, Keys... It really does depend on how much I can take, but I am pretty tolerant, in terms of physical pain.

Braces aren't that bad from what I've heard.

The only problem you may find with braces is when eating. That is just at the beginning and then it wears off.
