Psychology [serious]

I'd like to help whoever has any psychological problems... e.g. something that frustrates you, depression, anger, difficulties.
I've wanted to make a thread like this for a while now. It's different from the Help thread because this is about understanding others' problems.
Anyone is welcome to ask for help or give hope to others ;)
Thank you...

i wouldn't say this is very dissimilar to the help thread but let's see what comes out of it.

(and i don't think it doesn't deserves a sticky, and it'll possibly die without stickying.. we'll see.)

I need to help people with their minds, since I never got that kind of help when I didn't know what to do. This was also a part of my SkyForce training I never got to complete...

I'm shy around people I don't know well but great once we're friends. What is wrong with me?

Okay, first off: there's nothing wrong with you! I feel like that all the time. Getting to know people is hard, especially if you're at a new school or in a new class or group, or if they come from a different background and social class. People might tell you that you need to step up and actually talk to others - this isn't always true. If you don't feel comfortable talking to someone, don't. Try to find out who their friends are, and if you know one of their friends, ask him/her about the other person or something. People may also tell you "don't be shy". Sometimes it's a good thing to be shy 'cause there are some mean people out there. If you want to become someone's friend, observe them (not in a stalker way) and see if they're friendly or not. I tend to make new friends with people at school I am assigned to sit with at a table. That's how I met asdfkumquat2 last year in Math class. We're not all outgoing, but that's perfectly fine! My best advice is to get to know people around you at school or on your bus if you ride a bus home. I met one of my best friends on the bus this year.

I study in the same school for three years now and I still have my same 3 best friends...
I guess that takes some part in it in which I'm not required to renew my friendship to have someone to hang out with...

I don't really find new people an obstacle, I just say HAAAIII!!! HOW R U?! while shaking his hand... In dutch ofcourse...

Unfriendly people can become friends too, though...
There was this guy with his friends, and once he was scouting at me at the busstop, ofcourse I scouted back and we had a little argument... I failed that year in school, and I redid my 6th and last year... And I found out I would be in the same class as him, at first I was afraid, the first 5 minutes at least, it turned out we became good friends... :)
The class took me like a sponge... :D

Now with girls at the other had, I had the event occured to me 4 times that I notice that a girl is interested in me, 2 of those times I reacted... It seems once they get to know me, they lost interest, don't respond text messages and like to pretend they have never met me... Once because I wasn't persistent enough, and once because I was too persistent... :D

You might want to prepare to make new friends if your current friends are not going to the same high school as you (you're in 8th grade I presume?). CX made some really good points there, he's very experienced :)

I have no personal knowledge of Power Rangers, but I looked up the Turbo thing. It actually looks pretty interesting... considering I wasn't even around yet
I don't think there's anything wrong with you. If you got enjoyment out of the series, that's all that matters. If people made fun of you for watching it, they're the ones with the problem. They're just missing out on the entertainment. I'm not just saying this to be nice. I don't say anything to be nice because I'm generally not a nice person. So I repeat THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU, keja, Power Rangers can be as cool as you want it to be, and other people are stupid when they say mean things about TV shows that you like, if that's one of the problems (it probably is). Amen.

Bleach is my favorite.

Is it bad that I'm obsessed with Shonen Jump Manga books?

Especially since this is now the Magna Defender appreciation thread.

No... not bad at all. I think everyone has an obsession, even if they deny it, they know it's something. I'm obsessed with Pinback. I don't care that people criticize me all the time for it. Plus, manga is cool :D

No it's not :|
Apparently, this topic is called "Psychology".

I was a year out...

That explains the vague memories of Zeo though...
